Commercial

Spaces people don’t want to leave.

Retail, hospitality and workplace design that starts with what your customer should do and feel — then builds the room backwards from the answer.

Commercial design here begins with behaviour, not decoration. Where does someone arrive? What do they see first? How long should they stay, what should they touch, and where does the conversation that closes the sale actually happen? Plan, materials, lighting and atmosphere are all decided from those answers.

Two recent projects show the range: a heritage jeweller’s store estate re-planned around the customer journey, and a near-derelict Shrewsbury cellar turned into a venue people book by name.

Two very different problems

How a commercial project runs
01 · Consultation & Concept
£595

A consultation to understand the business, brand, needs and vision, then a written report: design analysis, opportunities and recommendations, two scheme options with render images, moodboards, materials and colour, and a high-level fit-out quote for each.

02 · Detailed Design & Fit-Out
typically 5–7% of fit-out budget

Detailed plans and layout drawings, fixtures and fittings schedule, coordinated trades drawings, paint and materials specification, a detailed fit-out quote and a predicted timescale.

Before either: a free phone conversation about the space and the business. See how I work →
